The material that I predominately focus on is clay because of its high plasticity. I essentially use “chamotte” stoneware in a block modeling method where I substract matter from the mass .
Once the stoneware is fired, at high temperature, about 1280 °C degrees, sculpture is “patinated” with wax and pigments (patina is an applied thin layer that gives the desired color tot he piece).

These pieces generally stay inside but stoneware is a very resistant and not sensitive to frost material , so they can be set up outdoors.
