The making of a bronze sculpture is extremely technical and requires a lot of skill .

After making a sculpture in stoneware or plaster, I prepare a silicon mould in which wax is poured to make the print of the initial sculpture.

This model will be lost in the process of casting bronze in the foundry. This is called lost-wax casting and it implies many difficult steps  in an extremely demanding . So,the choice of the foundery is important and this is why I have worked with Barthelemy foundry for a long time.

The last step is giving surface color to the bronze. It’s a high point in the process and I love to do it !

Patina gives personality to the piece and nowadays colors are richer and more diversified than they once were. It is my pleasure to create each time a unique colour with many subtle shades.

MY BRONZE SCULPTURES , ” ORIGINAL PIECES” .

According to the French  Founders Code of Ethics, bronze sculptures are produced under the name of « original » when there is a maximum of 12.  8 specimens are numbered from 1 to 8 (1 /8, 2 /8..) and 4 specimens called “Artist Proof”, are marked EA.

On each piece are affixed:

–         The signature of the artist

–         The seal of the founder

–         The number of work

–         The year of production
