An artist and her studio

Hello, everyone,

My stay in my gallery Gordes is coming to its end, so I’m going to
return to my home, my garden, the view of the Pic du Midi des Pyrénées , and
... big announcement.

a new space I’ve been waiting for a long time.
My long-held dream of a work studio in my garden is coming real!

After many twists and turns and delays, it’s now finally here.

A PLACE TO BREATHE

Being without a studio was like holding my breath for years.

A studio isn’t just a place dedicated to creative work—it’s so much more than that.

It’s a bubble, a space for freedom, exploration, trial and error, experimentation, flashes of joy, questioning, doubts, and moments of inspiration.
It’s a space to breathe—and thus to accept things as they are—because sometimes nothing happens, at least on the surface, and cleaning the tools can become the main activity.
I see it as a field of possibilities, completely open.

That’s what I felt during my artist residency in Japan, where experimentation without the pressure to produce had thrown the door wide open to something new.

Now, I just need to go to the back of the garden!

AN OPEN DOOR TO NEW EXPERIENCES

There’s plenty of space, so I think I’ll be able to work on several projects at once:
Create new pieces in clay,
finally get back to my concept of large kimonos and make some new ones,
test out plaster pieces,
make a mold for a piece that will eventually be cast in bronze,
repatinate a piece that needs a little touch-up,
restart work on my ink on papier,
explore printing again...

and above all, whatever else I haven’t yet figured out that I’ll end up doing!

MY STUDIO, AN INVITATION

It’s also a space I’d like to share with you.
I’d love for you to come by and chat over a cup of tea.
Visits will be by appointment only :-)

It’s doable,
if you go all the way to the Pyrénées in France !
NEWS:
The exhibition of my large kimonos in the United States is still ongoing.
The exhibition "Kimono: Garment, Canvas, and Artistic Muse" is currently on view at the Laurel Rogers Museum of Art in Laurel, Massachusetts, through November 8, 2026.

In my next newsletter...
... I'll talk to you about my sources of inspiration, my tools, my artistic "coups de coeur", my new ideas, in short everything which makes up my work and why it still is and always has been a passion for me.
