 Up to now I have talked to you about volumes, lines, molten bronze, clay...

Today I invite you to discover another part of my activity :

The creation of ink paintings !

A balance of the intentional and the random...

  Collection "Les Bleus" n°2. 100 x 70 cm

  The flexible and extremely smooth medium I use, invites me to slide the inks and play with the traces of their passage.

The result obtained after several hours is the product of a gesture similar to a dance.

The inks mix together... or not,

Avoid each other, get closer...

I make them take one step forward and three steps back....

I use inks of different natures ( alcohol, acrylic, Indian...), in order to play with their viscosity and miscibility.

There is an immense field of possibilities!

If I tell you that everything is done in music, which is another essential element in my creative life, you’ll obtain a pretty fair picture of the creation of an ink!

The painting evolves  as the hours pass, revealing its shadows and light points, its transparencies and opacities and then, above all, a large number of details, sometimes barely perceptible.

And then, an imaginary box opens with a jumble of...

marble veins, light silks, inlaid pearls...

Organic and mineral blend into a great abstract journey !
